In taking it in another direction, “Gotten“, with Maroon 5 vocalist Adam Levine, is a beautifully constructed ballad. When it comes to pop radio, this one will easily garner the most airplay, even more so than the Fergie infused”Beautiful Dangerous”. “Gotten” and “Saint Is A Sinner Too“ (with Rocco Deluca) are pleasant mellow additions to an album that’s pretty rocked up otherwise, proving that the hard rock and pop music platforms are often closer than some people might think.

Student entrepreneurs with established businesses are eligible to win tickets to Maroon 5 by entering the Utah Student 25 competition. The Utah Student 25 competition is designed to recognize the top 25 student entrepreneurs in the state of Utah. The BYU chapter of Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) has held a student entrepreneur competition for several years. However, this year the club is taking the competition to a whole new level. CEO president, Derek Pando, and John Richards, associate professor and associate director of the BYU center for entrepreneurship and technology, developed the idea to have a statewide entrepreneurship competition. “This is the first time BYU is reaching out to the other schools with this sort of competition,” said Pando, a senior from Austin, Texas studying political science. “I think it’s really neat and shows a lot of goodwill from the deans that they are willing to support a competition of this nature that goes beyond the borders of BYU to benefit the whole state of Utah.” Read the rest of this entry »
