I added many new concert pictures of Maroon 5 in England from late November and early December. If you want even more pictures, click here! Happy watching!
I also wanted to wish all of you a merry christmas, great holidays and a happy new year! I decided to put this site on a little winter break, but don’t worry, we’re back in January 2008 with the latest on our favourite band! Huge thanks to all of you for making this site as great as it is by now!
Love ‘em or loathe ‘em, it’s been impossible to escape Maroon 5 over the last few years. ‘This Love’, ‘She Will Be Loved’ and this year’s ‘Makes Me Wonder’ clung stubbornly to radio playlists like bloody-minded pop limpets, turning the LA five-piece into arena-filling rock superstars. But for every appreciative fan savouring their skilfully-constructed pop hooks, there’s an angry rock critic branding them crass, contrived and vacuous. We gave Adam Levine, the band’s smooth-as-puree frontman, a chance to answer his critics.
Your new single ‘Won’t Go Home Without You’ features some pretty intense lyrics. What’s it about exactly?
“Hmm… what is it about? I think it’s about desperation and frustration – that feeling everyone gets when you don’t know really know where you stand with something.”
Did you write it about a particular young lady?
“Actually it’s about a number of feelings I was having at a certain point in my life. I was a bit all over the place at the time, so it wasn’t just about one girl or thing.”
Do you revisit those feelings every time you sing it?
“Oh definitely. I see people responding to those words and I can’t help but revisit those feelings.”
The bassline is quite similar to the ‘Every Breath You Take’ bassline. Did you write the song as a bit of a Police homage?
“I think the song itself isn’t that influenced by The Police – it’s more the production choices – but there are definitely huge, huge Police references throughout the song. I think that ‘Every Breath You Take’ is one of the best songs ever written, so it’s no bad thing to reference it. I’m a huge Police fan.” Continue
